he says firefox is better. and i say firefox is just a known better, because everybody promotes it...
actually Opera is way faster more secure than any other browser on this planet. you can see the test results from trusted sites... once u start using it u'll see the difference...

nonono, I've used opera... many versoins of it, and I've seen the test results. yes it's faster with some javascript testing, as far as I know firefox is still faster rendering pages... but those few microseconds don't do anything for me. I've prefered firefox since the early days before firefox existed and all they had was the mozilla application suite / seamonkey long long before they hit 1.0.
I just plain like the user interface and customizability better, but opera is still a great browser too as far as I'm concerned.. WAY better than IE any day :)

oh, and more secure? that's all relative as well... I'm sure firefox and opera are pretty much equally secure, but like you said opera has less exposure, therefor less security issues are found...
does opera have the incremental updates feature yet? I don't think they used to (like firefox). everytime you wanted a new version / security update you'd have to redownload and install the whole program.

anyway enough out of me for now :P

who cares about that download feature :P it's not a big thing for me.. because opera is not a big program. about 3,5 mb..

and btw our harvester of sorrow recording will be delayed. because my friend's drum's pedal has broken.. he needs to fix it.. if u know a drummer we can continue recording..

lol, download feature is easy for updating the software every security release, it downloads it automatically and is installed for you next time you restart the browser, instead of having to manually reinstall the software completely every time a vulnerability is fixed :)

anyway, i know a drummer, he's lazy as shit though, but I'll ask him to do it see how long it takes him :D
